Frontier Customer Care for installation, equipment or other information is: 844-660-0648 – option 2. The installation of fiber optics internet for the neighborhood is a multi-step process. The first step was to install fiber optic cable into the existing conduits under the streets was completed. Monarch Bay has progressed to the middle-phase of the project where “laterals” or the internet fiber is being pulled from the proximate vaults up to each home.

The 212 custom home sites plus the guard shack are treated individually with respect to how the fiber is placed from the vault to the home. As many of the homes have been remodeled or re-built, this can vary. In the ideal situation, the legacy conduit (from General Telephone, Verizon, etc.) is available and in good shape and can be used. Under this circumstance, the lateral install can take only minutes. If the install requires more work or customization (there is no charge for this to the homeowner or the association), Frontier will plan and perform as needed.

Frontier and their subcontractor, Clear Source have been working through about 35 homes every 2 weeks to accomplish the “lateral pull” and is expected to take 2 months for this phase.

The final phase, which follows the lateral install is an additional appointment with Frontier to bring equipment (an ONT, modem, and router… and if necessary, extenders to make the signal available across the house). This is a separate appointment and happens when the lateral is fully installed.  The appointments will be handled by each owner by contacting their Customer Care at 844-660-0648, option 2.  Management will monitor and facilitate as needed. Once the equipment is set up and internet is available, Frontier will send Customer Care packets to each homeowner.  Monarch Bay will pay for the basic fiber 1 GIG internet each month.  If an owner wishes to upgrade or add on amenities, they make work directly with the Frontier Customer Care team to set this up at their cost.

As a reminder, if you are happy with your current internet provider, there is no requirement to change over to Frontier.
